Sooo, to start with, three things about me:

I have been in the same job for 19 years (I know!!)

I am intrigued by and love looking at the stars on a clear night.

I Really love things that sparkle and pretty things! 🌸

1. What are your dream vacation destinations?

Well, I’m not a massive traveller and haven’t been abroad for a long time.  One place I went to (twice) is Barbados and I love the friendly relaxed lifestyle there.

2. What is your all-time favorite quote?

There are so many, one that I have had since childhood is – if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.  I instilled this in my own children,  it’s basically saying that you should only say nice things about people and if you don’t like them or whatever just don’t say anything to them at all.

3. What helps you relieve stress?

Touch wood I don’t get stressed very often and I think I’m a fairly calm chilled out person but if I were I like to play music or maybe go swimming or to the gym and take a jacuzzi and sauna,

4. If a magical genie will grant you one wish – what would that be?

I know money isn’t everything but I would love to win the lottery, there is so much I would do with the money!

5. If you’re given a chance to portray a character in a movie, who would that be? What’s the title of the film?

Hmm there are a few I can think of, in fact so many! I’d say either Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City or Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s as they are both so beautiful, stylish, sophisticated and funny – what a lifestyle to live too!

I have to add a link to my own favourite posts, I’m not really sure which are my favourite, I am quite proud of this poem I wrote I guess Early spring and signs of life in the churchyard and also this tribute letter to my beautiful cat Pepsi who we sadly had to have put to sleep in March, because he is missed so much by us all A letter to my beautiful cat who fought a battle with kidney disease so bravely

So my nominations are:

Fairy kissed Daisy

Lisa’s Notebook

Steff’s Journey

Carla, write to tell magazine

My questions are:

  1. What made you decide to write a blog?
  2. What is the most recent thing you’ve learnt?
  3. What would your perfect job be?
  4. If you won the lottery what would you do?
  5. (Weird question) Has anyone ever mistaken you for a famous person or said you look like anyone famous? Or do YOU think you look like anyone famous?!

Thanks for reading! 😊

  2. Thanks for the nomination chuck. I’m fascinated by the stars too. I always pick out the 4 brightest and like to think of them as my dad, gran-pop, grandad and Nana and they are watching over me and guiding me from there. There is one that shines the brightest and seems to appear before any others I always think that’s my dad because he always shined so bright when he was alive and even when I didn’t realise I needed him he’d show up (emotionally)

  3. Thank you so much for the nomination, Fiona! I loved reading this and finding out a little more about you – and I second you in winning the lottery, haha! I also loved your tribute to Pepsi, it was a beautiful piece of writing and thank you for sharing your memories with us. x
